The Anna Ranch Heritage Center, a National Historic Site, was in the same ranching family for five generations. It is still a working ranch, and shares the story of a remarkable woman in ranching, Anna Lindsey Perry-Fiske, who was known as "The First Lady of Ranching" in Hawaii. The ranch was founded by Anna's great, great grandfather James Fay who was a contemporary of John Palmer Parker, the founder of Parker Ranch. The ranch house has been maintained and restored for its historic character and contains a significant archive collection of records, photographs, maps, artifacts, and household items that tell a story of Waimea's past, and the rich history of ranching on Hawaii island.

Collections: Koa Furniture dating back to Anna's parents' era (1920s-1930s), paintings by some of Hawaii's most noted painters such as Lionel Walden, D. Howard Hitchcock, Martha Greenwell and Herb Kane, photos of the Lindsey and Rose family, Anna's holokus and parade costumes, trophies and awards for horse racing, pa'u riding and live stock enhancing, saddles, tack and other ranching gear.

Programs and tours: The Ranch is open to the public and invites visitors, tour groups, senior groups, and school groups to this beautiful place. Self guided tours of the grounds and out buildings. Trained docents give one hour guided tours of the historic home and gardens. Anna Ranch was awarded the 2008 and 2009 Nani Waimea Award (for our grounds gardens) by the Waimea Outdoor Circle.

Facilities: In addition to the historic home tours and self guided tours of the gardens and out buildings, Anna Ranch has a gift shop that features the works of local artisans and craftsmen including items by our on-site blacksmith and saddle maker. A rental facility, called Anna's Hall, sits in a beautiful location next to Waiauia Stream and has become a popular place for weddings, celebrations, meetings, and conferences.

Parking: Anna Ranch has ample parking for about fifty people and in over flow situations parking on some parts of the lawn is allowed.
