The gallery boasts a fine general art collection spanning various periods and styles from original Picasso to Wyland. The collection appeals to people of all ages. The special teaching collection includes hand painted life size reproductions of the great Western masters so that people can also experience, enjoy and learn from the masters.


 
 

Collections: International collection of paintings, drawings, furnishings, sculpture and mixed media art spanning a great period of time and many art genres; temporary art exhibitions, studio art classes, films and performing art events.

Programs and tours: Docent-led guided tours, audio tours, school tours and in-school programs, lectures, films, seminars, music and dance recitals and performances; inter-museum loans, permanent, temporary and traveling exhibitions, art classes and workshops for people of all ages.

Membership: Annual $25; Special Categories: Student/Senior/Military $15, Family $50, Associate $100, Contributor $250, Sponsor $500, Lifetime $2500

Facilities: Historic Hilo Iron Works building is not wheelchair accessible at this time. Museum research library and museum store. Art classrooms.

Parking: Ample free parking next to the building.

Public Transportation: Walking distance from downtown or Banyan Drive hotels.
