Located on the south shore of Kaua‘i, The National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) has nearly 2,000 acres of gardens and preserves of extraordinary beauty and historical significance on Kaua?, Maui and in Florida.


 
  Collections: McBryde Garden, includes rare and endangered Hawaiian species and plants, collected from the wild in tropical regions of the world; a herbarium with 60,000 species of tropical plants; and a research library housing more than 20,000 books, journals, botanical prints, and archival materials. Allerton Gardens, 80 acres, includes Queen Emma’s cottage (1870), sculpture and landscaped gardens. NTBG also includes Limahuli Garden in Ha‘ena and Kahanu Garden in Hana, Maui which includes the massive Pi‘ilanihale Heiau (place of worship).
